Equipment

  • Large pitcher or cocktail shaker
  • Glasses
  • Cinnamon sticks

Ingredients

Apple Cider

  • 2 cups apple cider

Ginger Beer

  • 1/2 cup non-alcoholic ginger beer

Citrus

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Instructions

  • In a small shallow dish, whisk together the ground cinnamon and granulated sugar. Moisten the rims of two glasses with a small amount of apple cider or a lemon wedge, then dip the rims into the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
  • In a large pitcher or cocktail shaker, combine the 2 cups of apple cider, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup.
  • Stir the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds to ensure the maple syrup is fully dissolved and the flavors are well-incorporated.
  • Place one cinnamon stick into the mixture and let it steep at room temperature for 5 minutes to infuse the cider with warm aromatic notes.
  • Fill the prepared cinnamon-rimmed glasses halfway with ice cubes.
  • Divide the spiced cider mixture evenly between the two glasses, pouring carefully to maintain the rim coating.
  • Top each glass with 1/4 cup of the non-alcoholic ginger beer to add carbonation and a spicy ginger finish.
  • Garnish each drink with a fresh apple slice and the remaining cinnamon stick. Serve immediately while chilled.
