Cranberry Sauce
1(12-ounce) packagefresh or frozen cranberries
3/4cuporange juice
1/2cupgranulated sugar
1/4cuplight brown sugar
1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
1/4teaspoonground nutmeg
Instructions
Rinse the cranberries and pick out any stems or debris.
In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, orange juice, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the cranberries start to pop, about 5 minutes.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the cranberry sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together, about 10-12 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the cranberry sauce cool to room temperature.
Refrigerate the cranberry sauce until chilled, at least 2 hours or overnight.
