Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
  • Serrated knife or unscented dental floss

Ingredients

Dough and Sauce

  • 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce plus extra for dipping

Cheese and Fillings

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef pepperoni or turkey pepperoni chopped
  • 1/4 cup cooked Italian beef sausage crumbled

Seasonings and Garnish

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Fresh basil chopped (optional garnish)
  • Ranch dressing (optional for dipping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Unroll the dough on a lightly floured surface and press it into a large rectangle (approx. 12x8 inches).
  • Spread a thin, even layer of marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges to prevent mess while rolling.
  • Evenly sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, beef pepperoni, and beef sausage over the sauce.
  • Dust the top with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  • Starting from the long edge, roll the dough up tightly into a log shape.
  • Using a sharp serrated knife or unscented dental floss, slice the log into 1-inch thick rounds.
  • Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving warm with extra marinara or ranch dressing for dipping.
