Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts – about 6–8 oz each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil – helps the seasoning stick and crisps the outside
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder – for warm savory flavor
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika – adds a touch of color and depth
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder – mild sharpness for balance
  • ½ teaspoon salt – enhances natural flavor
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper – mild heat and bite

Optional Add-Ons:

  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning – for a herby twist
  • Lemon zest or juice – brightens flavor after cooking
  • Pinch of cayenne – for subtle heat

Instructions

Preheat your air fryer

  • Set it to 375°F (190°C) and let it warm up for 3–5 minutes. A hot air fryer gives better browning.

Prep the chicken

  • Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub each with olive oil. Mix your seasonings in a small bowl, then coat both sides of the chicken evenly.

Cook in the air fryer

  • Place the chicken breasts in the basket. Don’t overlap. Cook for 8 minutes, then flip. Cook another 6–8 minutes on the other side, or until a meat thermometer reads 165°F in the thickest part.

Rest before slicing

  • Let the chicken sit for 5 minutes. This step locks in moisture — don’t skip it.
