Equipment

  • Colander
  • Large Ziploc Bag or Shallow Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb seedless green grapes (preferred for tartness), red grapes, or cotton candy grapes
  • 1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid drink mix (flavor of choice) OR 1 pack (3 oz) Jell-O powder 0.13 oz packet if using Kool-Aid
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar or Stevia (only if using unsweetened Kool-Aid)
  • 1 splash Water (for rinsing)

Instructions

  • Remove grapes from the stems and place them in a colander.
  • Wash and rinse the grapes thoroughly, leaving them slightly damp so the powder will adhere.
  • In a large Ziploc bag or shallow bowl, combine the Kool-Aid powder and sugar (or the Jell-O powder if using as a sweet alternative).
  • Add the damp grapes to the bag or bowl and shake or toss until each grape is evenly coated in the powder mixture.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Spread the coated grapes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 to 4 hours, or until the grapes are frozen solid.
  • Serve immediately as a refreshing treat. Pro-tip: Use toothpicks for serving to prevent the powder from staining fingers.
