Ingredients
1.5lbsSteelhead Trout fillets
2tbspOlive Oil
4tbspUnsalted Buttermelted
4clovesFresh Garlicminced
1large Lemonjuiced and zested
1tbspFresh Dill or Parsleychopped
1tspSalt
1/2tspBlack Pepper
1tbspCapersoptional
1/2tspRed Pepper Flakesoptional
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Pat the Steelhead Trout fillets dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped fresh herbs.
Generously brush the garlic butter sauce over the top of the trout fillets, then season evenly with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature should reach 135°F for medium or 145°F for well-done).
Remove from the oven, garnish with extra fresh herbs or lemon slices, and serve immediately while warm.
