Equipment

  • Cast-iron skillet
  • Cutting Board
  • Chef's knife
  • Paper towels

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 medium zucchinis chopped into half-moons
  • 4 cloves garlic minced

Garlic Butter Sauce & Seasonings

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Pat the steak cubes completely dry with paper towels and season generously with sea salt and black pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat until shimmering. Add the steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms. Remove the steak and set aside.
  • Lower the heat to medium-high. Add the chopped zucchini to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Reduce the heat to low. Melt the unsalted butter in the skillet, add the minced garlic, and sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return the steak bites to the skillet. Toss everything together in the garlic butter sauce until warmed through, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

For the best results, ensure your cast-iron skillet is very hot before adding the steak to achieve a perfect, restaurant-quality sear without overcooking the center.
