Ingredients

  • 35-40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 10x15-inch baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place the saltine crackers in a single, even layer on the prepared pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium-high heat. Bring to a rolling boil and let it boil for 3 full minutes without stirring.
  • Immediately pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the saltine crackers. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let it sit for 5 minutes to melt.
  • Spread the melted chocolate into an even layer and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  • Allow the candy to cool and harden completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator before breaking into pieces and serving.
