30-Minute Creamy Kielbasa Pasta

When you want comfort in a bowl but have little time, this pasta hits the mark. Smoky sausage, a silky tomato cream sauce, and a shower of Parmesan come together in half an hour.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz rotini or penne
  • 14 oz kielbasa sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce plain or basil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan plus extra to serve
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup baby spinach roughly chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Boil pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup water, drain.
  • Brown kielbasa in oil, 4 min. Remove.
  • Sauté onion 3 min, add garlic 30 sec.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and cream; simmer 3 min.
  • Add sausage, pasta, Parmesan, and pasta water as needed. Fold in spinach.
  • Season and serve with extra cheese.
